Meet The Morgan State University RISE Scholars and ASCEND Scholars
Morgan’s RISE-REACHeS is an innovative approach that equips scholars with Resilience, Excellence, Achievement, and Community in Health Sciences by adopting a holistic approach to college matriculation and graduate training preparation. The RISE program provides a supportive STEM community that features hands-on research training, intrusive mentoring, academic support, and science identity development. These strategies are designed to strengthen the preparedness of our graduates to enter Ph.D. training in the biomedical sciences with the long-term goal of contributing researchers that possess the ability to address some of the critical health disparities in our nation.
